First

Congratulations - you're reading my first post. Although I'm not a blogging virgin (I blog for http://www.uwbadgers.com), this is my first time doing so with this site. While writing about sports and delivering juicey, inside information about the Unversity of Wisconsin - Madison's women's hockey team is as fun as it sounds, there's so much more I'm absolutely dying to write about - fashion, cooking, how-to's, politics, current issues, life - anything and everything. While all of these subjects and more will appear often, something bigger is the main task at hand.

I picked up a book at Shakti Bookstore a couple days ago entitled "365 Ways to Change the World" by Michael Norton. It's pretty self-explanitory - 365 days in one year; 365 ways to make a difference. Trying to change the world on your own is a pretty intimidating idea - how can ONE person out of 6,692,030,277 people make a difference? Well, we're going to find out.

I've found in the past year or so that I've been generally unhappy. Don't get me wrong, I have amazing family and friends, I love living in Madison, WI and going to school at UW, and I'm extremely lucky to have experienced what I have thus far in life. But there seems to be something missing.

For the next year, I am going to try to do one thing in this book everyday and write about it here, hoping to inspire whoever reads this to get out there and change the world in their own ways. Suggestions and personal stories are always welcome and together - may that be a single person or thousands or millions of people - we can all make a difference.

Tomorrow will mark the start of this project, with the task being "make amends". Let's do this!
